Naupaka
Forthcoming Fall 2008. In this story of star-crossed lovers, a Hawaiian princess named Naupaka falls in love with Kau'i, a commoner. Alas, the gods do not approve of their union and they separate, Naupaka remaining in the mountains and Kau'i returning to the seashore. To this day, the naupaka blossoms of the mountains and the sea bloom in perfect halves. Includes audio CD with performance by Keola Beamer.
